My father gave me my first camera when I was 17 years old. I know I kept it for many years, but I truly do not remember whatever happened to it. It was a Voigtlander, an old German camera, very heavy and very basic. Totally manual, no 'auto" anything, so my dad showed me the basics, meaning aperture, f-stops, depth of field, focus, etc... and send me to the streets of Vienna to take photographs of everything I saw around me. I remember very vividly that the first theme was "reflections". Ever since that day, photography became a very important part of my life, and I have been taking pictures ever since. Photography to me is mostly a hobby,  because I am graphic designer by trade, but every chance I have, I grab the camera... any camera... and go out looking for a chance to create an image!

These series of images is a small selection of some of my favorite shots from those "teen" years some thirty some years ago.
